Here we have a gorgeous freeform pool resting in the side of a steep hill across from Hampton Bays’ northern coast. The construction boasts a large waterfall from its main level which cascades into a tiled basin beneath. With the raised spa overflowing into the pool, and a sheer descent falling from the raised wall above the deep end, there are three different planes of water which create a lovely ambiance. Custom stacked-stone walls encase the structure from the landscape and contain several different staircases and landings to pass from level to level. There is a 12 foot elevation change from the deepest portion of the pool to the highest; placing the pool was no easy task. Other features of this project are many square feet of flagstone patio, stone-terrace planters, column-encasements, and an outdoor fire pit.
